Life Sucks is an HD feature-length film which will be shot in Austin, TX during Fall 2009.

Harvey, a Jimmy Stewart-esc everyman, certainly thinks his life sucks.  His girlfriend Andrea is ready to get married and have kids, or at least she thinks she is, but Harvey isn’t so sure.  This uncertainty drives him crazy and drives Andrea away.  How can Harvey figure out if settling down is the right thing for him to do?  Should he wait for a sign from above?  Or maybe someone else can make the decision for him; and if it ends up being a disaster the blame couldn’t be on his shoulders… 

Well, as luck (or fate) would have it, being seduced by a beautiful yet lonely woman who turns him into an immortal, bloodthirsty vampire, gives Harvey some much needed perspective.

Life Sucks takes place over the course of one long night, and at it's core is a simple morality tale.  The story is told very much from Harvey’s perspective, and as Harvey is seduced into cheating on his girlfriend with a soulless killer, then so is the audience.  But other characters provide contrasting viewpoints, like Victor, who is Harvey’s best friend.  Victor is in a loveless marriage, so his role is to drag Harvey down the path of infidelity with him.  He doesn’t want to stop having fun just because he took some silly vows.  Talia and Selina are the mysterious women they meet under innocent circumstances.  Talia is tired of spinning her wheels - eternity is a really long time so she just wants to find someone to share it with.  To her, Harvey represents salvation from a century of mindless killing.  Selina, however, is bitter and jaded; she murders those that she feels are unworthy, thinking it’s for the greater good.  Her being a vampire isn’t so much a curse as it is a calling.  When these characters meet, all four of their lives will change forever.
